Thanks also to our generous vendors for a job above & beyond: Darlene and Bob at Crossroads Winery, Margo of Blackjack with Class, Larry Barnett, and Stacy of Cater 10! Stay tuned to this site and watch for your next newsletter for photos from the event.

By now most everyone has noticed the LDS Church at Eldorado and Hillcrest is complete and has been in use since early December. We received notification today that they will be holding their Stake Conference Saturday and Sunday of this weekend. The Saturday session begins at 7pm and will include a dedication of the building. The Sunday session begins at 10am. We expect there might be increased traffic for these meetings since they encompass the entire Stake (basically all members that live in Frisco/Prosper area).
While we may see some increased traffic this weekend around the Church this meeting is only held twice a year, so any increase in traffic this weekend should be temporary only.

RESIDENTS ASKED TO BAG ‘OVERFLOW’ TRASH, PLACE OUT ON USUAL SERVICE DAY
(February 6, 2011) Residents who missed trash and recycling service last week due to inclement weather are advised to place overflow items in bags for ‘pick up’ this week on their regularly scheduled service day. Items must be contained in plastic bags, tied and placed three (3) feet away from carts.
“Last week’s extreme weather event made it impossible for contractors to ‘make up’ missed service as we have in the past,” said Pippa Couvillion, Environmental Services Manager. “If you missed service last week, we ask you to place overflow trash in bags for pickup. But please put bags out only on your regularly scheduled day — and not a day earlier. We want to avoid alleyways being filled with scattered trash as a result of animals digging through bags. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience,” added Couvillion.
Residents who have overflow recyclables may bring those to the Environmental Collection Center (ECC), 6616 Walnut Street, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. or Saturdays, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. The ECC is closed Sundays.
For more information, contact Environmental Services at 972-292-5900.
