2010 Census

The 2010 Census forms are showing up in the mail this week.  There are only 10 questions and it will take less than 10 minutes to complete.  Its important for Frisco because this will be the first census with a population over 100,000 people.

Please take a few minutes to complete and mail back in the postage paid envelope.

Condition of Parks

We’ve heard concerns over the conditions of both Bob White and Mourning Dove parks.  Specifically the weeds that appear to be taking over.

The board has discussed the issue with the P&R department and they agree the condition of the parks could be better.  They’ve put a plan in place to remedy the situation.  The first step will be to areate and fertalize to improve the condition of the existing grass.  This will take place once the ground is dry enough to areate.

A couple of weeks after that they will apply the first round of weed control.  This will help stop the summer weeds.

They will continue treatments of the parks to bring the existing weeds under control and to reduce them.

This will not be an overnight process so we will continue to communicate with P&R and follow up with them on the treatment plan.

Lost Dog on Henderson

A resident has found a lost dog on Henderson.   Its a small brown/reddish and white colored dog.  If you, or anyone you know has lost a dog please email the board, or communications committee, and we will get you intouch with the resident that found the dog.

PCE Safety and Security Update

We’ve been told the recent phone outage was due to vandalism to the AT&T box.  The box was basically burned to the ground.

If you have any information that you think may be related to this please let the board and/or safety committee know.  We will be sure it gets passed along to the Police and Fire Departments.

Additionally if you see any suspicious activity in the area please contact the police department ASAP so they can investigate.

Phone Repair Update

We just spoke with the onsite construction foreman.  He said they have about 20 homes left to reconnect based on their most recent billing records.  They expect to be complete by the end of the day.  If you don’t have service by then he said to call their support line.

He also stated is was a vandal that started the fire.  If you have any information that could be related to this please let the board know and we will pass it along to the Police and Fire departments.

PHONE SERVICE REPAIRS CONTINUE; FULL RESTORATION EXPECTED BY SUNDAY

(January 9, 2010) AT & T has revised its timeline to restore phone service to the entire Panther Creek Estates neighborhood, adding the company expects everyone will have service sometime Sunday.  AT & T reports its repair crews made significant progress today as they work to restore phone service to the neighborhood bordered by Eldorado, Panther Creek, Hillcrest and Coit.

“Some customers are already beginning to regain service and we now expect to have everyone back in service tomorrow (Sunday).” –  Sarah Andreani, Fleishman-Hillard for AT&T

Frisco Fire investigators say the telephone service box was damaged as a result of an overnight grass fire; however, the cause of the grass fire remains under investigation.

Frisco Police continue to step up patrols in the Panther Creek Estates neighborhood to respond to emergencies for those without cell phones.

Phone Service Repairs Continue; Service Restoration Expected To Begin Saturday

(January 8, 2010) AT & T crews continue to work through the night to restore phone service to the Panther Creek Estates neighborhood.  Repair crews say service will be restored to some customers beginning Saturday; however, it could be as late as Tuesday before service is restored to the entire neighborhood bordered by Eldorado, Panther Creek, Hillcrest and Coit.

“The hundreds of copper wires in the cable must be spliced back together one by one, and restoration of service to customers will be incremental, as each pair of wires is repaired. We expect some customers to begin regaining service on Saturday, and all customers to be back in service by Tuesday.”  — Sarah Andreani, Fleishman-Hillard for AT&T
