2011 Annual Meeting a Success!

The annual meeting was held last night at Sem Elementary.  We met quorum and were able to hold an official meeting.  Thank you to all who attended and to those who sent in proxies.  We held our election and Ariel Ortegon and Bill Woodard were re-elected to the board.  Jill Hart and Ann McElroy were elected as new members of the board.  Welcome to the board.  I would like to thank outgoing board members, Ty Treadway and Jamie Lockwood for their service to the community.

Annual Meeting Tonight @ Sem Elementary

Please join us at the reconvened annual meeting tonight at Sem Elementary at 12721 Honey Grove Dr.

If you cannot attend, please download and complete the Proxy Form from our website and send me an email and someone will come pick it up.  It is important that we make quorum tonight so we do not have the expense (notification and building rental) of calling the meeting a third time.

Planning and Zoning Hearing Tomorrow (Tuesday Night) @ 6:30 in the city council chambers at City Hall.

There is an item on the agenda for Ridgeview at Panther Creek.  This is the development north of Maas Middle School on Coit and immediately east of our neighborhood.  The developer wants to reduce the lot sizes of the phases 2 and 3 of this project from the size it is currently zone for to ones that are the size of phase one.  Phase one was approved with the smaller (approx 7000 sq. ft.) lots because the developers had planned on an amenity center to make up for this.  Now the developer has no plans for any amenity center.  There are no plans for parks or greenbelts in the development.  This will put a burden on the greenbelts that we pay to maintain in our neighborhood and increase traffic at the already crowded city parks in our neighborhood.  I plan on attending the meeting tomorrow night to speak my concerns to the commission.  It would great to have other residents/homeowners of the neighborhood stand with me to show our concern.  Please let me know via email at pcehoa@milfordmail.com if you are willing to attend also.

While we will continue to accept nomination forms up to the meeting, today is the deadline to have your name included on the initial list of candidates which will be placed on the website later this week.  Please consider submitting your form today.

Reminder:  The Panther Creek Association of Homeowners, will elect four (4) members to the board of directors at our annual meeting in October of 2011.  The HOA is not some outside organization made up of strangers.  It is an association of all the homeowners in our neighborhood.  It is run by a board of directors that is elected from these member and by these members.  As the chairman of the 2011 nominating committee, I ask that you consider volunteering your time and come help your neighbors by running for a position on the board.

How much time does it require?   The Board of Directors meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month for approximately 2 hours to conduct the business of the Association.  Each Director is also a liaison to a committee and responsible for communication between the committee and the Board. Committees and Board positions vary in terms of time commitment beyond meetings.  All Directors are encouraged to attend the Annual Meeting and Social or other Committee activities.

2011 HOA Annual Meeting Set For October 18th @ Maas Middle School.

The Panther Creek Association of Homeowners, Inc. will host their 2011 Annual Meeting on Tuesday, October 18th at 7:00 pm, registration begins at 6:30pm. The meeting will be held at Maus Middle School, 12175 Coit Road, Frisco, TX 75035. We will provide childcare. Please email names and ages of children to RealManage. Come at 6:30 for pizza and to mingle with neighbors.

Agenda items will include: the financial and operational activities of your homeowners association over the last year;

  • Election of FOUR (4) Board Members (nomination form attached)

In order to conduct The Panther Creek Association of Homeowners, Inc. meeting, a quorum of one fourth (1/4) of the eligible voters must be represented in person or by proxy.

Remember to send in your proxy whether or not you plan on attending the meeting.

The proxy is revocable and may be returned by attending the meeting. Fill out the enclosed form, then sign, date and return the form by mail to 16200 Addison Rd, Ste 120, TX 75001, by e-mail to PANCREEK@realmanage.com, or by fax to 866-919-5696. The form should be submitted by October 12, 2011.

Board Meeting 8-17

The Next Board Meeting is August 17th.  We have attached the agenda for that meeting.  If any homeowner is interested in attending please let us know ahead of time so we can be sure to have enough chairs.

Safety Committee

We’ve received alot of feedback from people that are interested in joining the safety committee.

If you are interested please email the board, or safety committee, with your name phone number and email.  I’ll compile a list of interested residents and in a few days set up a meeting time.

The safety committee will focus on a number of issues related to safety in and around the neighborhood.  There has also been some interest in possibly establishing a relationship with Maus Middle School so that we might be able to jointly address some concerns.
