NNO Block Party Announcements

Aug 3.  Block Parties at Angelo, Kilgore, Mansfield, and Luckenbach/Gardendale.  See details below.  Any others?

Angelo Drive is also registered with the city to be blocked off for National Night Out.

We will be grilling hamburgers and hotdogs infront of the empty lots.  Neighbors can bring a side dish, chips, or dessert to share.  Everyone provide their own drinks.

6:30 p.m. - we will be hosting a block party on Kilgore Drive for all of our neighbors.   We will be grilling hamburgers at 12049 Kilgore (near the Snyder Dr intersection).  Please bring a side dish to share!  We will have a sprinkler and other activities in the front yard.  Come by and mingle with your fellow neighbors!  The party has been registered with the Frisco Police Department, so we may get a visit from the Police or Fire Departments.  For any questions, please contact Christina at christina.renea@hotmail.com.

Come join your Mansfield neighbors for a Block Party.
Bring dinner/food, small tables, lawn chairs, and the kids out front to meet your neighbors and socialize.  Please contact me to help organize the activities for the evening, evans.mariebuggs@yahoo.com  Suggestions:  Grill, potluck, music, games to play, water balloons for the kids, etc.
I have registered  with the City of Frisco on the Frisco Police NNO website.  So there is a chance we will receive a visit from the Police and/or Fire Department (They don’t promise, but do their best to make every party that has registered).  Mansfield Drive will be blocked off at the far east end of the street.

There is a greenbelt at the corner of Luckenbach and Gardendale on the way to the pool.  We plan to bring food and get together.  We’d like to include the streets on this side (North) of the park.  Our theme is ‘desserts’. We all plan to bring desserts to share, socialize with our neighbors and let the kids play.
I will also register with the Frisco Police Dept.  Anyone with questions can email me at:  Kellie@Knetworks.biz.

FFSC Back to School Program

Frisco Family Services Center is planning the 2009 Back to School Program and is in need of our support. Many of the families they serve are unable to provide the necessary supplies and clothing needed for school due to crisis in the family and/or limited income. They will be providing school supplies, new clothing, new shoes and hygiene items for approximately 500 needy children in Frisco.
This year Panther Creek Estates will have 3 drop off locations for this program.  Anytime in the month of July take your donations to 11907 Yoakum, 12786 Gardendale or 11497 Mansfield and place in the box labeled FFS.  We will deliver to Frisco Family Services Center the first week in August.   Panther Creek Estates residents continue to make a difference in our community.  Thank you to our wonderful volunteers: Kim, Myshele and Debbie and thank you to all of PCE for your generousity!

Mandatory Water Restrictions

From the City of Frisco…

MANDATORY RESTRICTIONS OF FRISCO’S WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN BEGIN JULY 1:CITY WATERWISE PROGRAM OFFERS NEW, WEEKLY WATERING RECOMMENDATIONS TO GUIDE RESIDENTS(June 30, 2009) The City of Frisco wants to remind residents that mandatory water restrictions for summer months take effect Wednesday, July 1.

The Water Management Plan, which emphasizes watering efficiently and reducing waste, was adopted by the city council in April.

This new plan encompasses a Drought Contingency Plan and a Water Efficiency Plan.

Each year, starting with the first day of Daylight Saving Time through June 30, two-day-per-week outdoor watering is recommended. Restrictions become mandatory during the summer months of July, August and September (July 1 - September 30). The plan prohibits outdoor watering between 5 a.m.and 8 a.m. and between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Under the new Water Efficiency Plan, outdoor watering is also restricted to two days per week July 1 - September 30 and is based on residents’ trash and recycling service schedule and an additional, designated day.

PCE Residents part of Memorial Day Ceremony

The VFW Post 8273 and the Frisco Garden Club welcome Frisco residents to attend the annual Memorial Day ceremony at Frisco Commons Park, 8000 McKinney Road, at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 25. The event will include a flag ceremony, the presentation of the Memorial Day wreath, patriotic music by the Frisco Community Band and the Frisco Chorale. Military vehicles and equipment will also be on display. Speakers will include Mayor Maher Maso, VFW Post Commander Lee Myrben (former PCE Board Chair) and Frisco resident Clifford Sosamon (current PCE Board member.) The event will last about one hour. Residents are urged to bring lawn chairs.

Because of the concern for the environment and the cost of fuel, the Memorial Day committee has chosen not to host a military flyover display this year.

This event is coordinated with the City of Frisco, Frisco ISD, Boy Scouts of America, the Frisco Noon Day Rotary with the VFW and Frisco Garden Club. The war memorial is located just beyond the central pavilion at Frisco Commons.
