Beautification Committee Update

The Board has approved several recommendations proposed by the Beautification Committee to enhance our green spaces and entrances. Watch the following areas bloom this fall: Hillsboro and Whitesboro entrances; the gas easement; Hillcrest area north of Hillsboro and the green belts. Remember fall is a terrific time to plant trees!

Fountains Update

The Board is happy to report that the new fountains are installed and working. These fountains are on a timer and will be turned off at night saving the association in electricity costs. The waterfall has been turned on and the fountain company will help us monitor its operation.

Brown Patches in Greenbelts

The recent brown patches in the greenbelts are caused by a treatment of MSMA, a weed killer that was applied by our landscape company and mainly targets dallisgrass and nut grass.

Removal of Drainage Devices

Is construction complete on your street but sewers remain covered? You may contact the Street Department for information regarding removal of drainage devices.  Call Armando Arguello at (972) 292-5828 or e-mail aarguello@friscotexas.gov and cc- publicworks@friscotexas.gov.

Mowing Unkept Lawns

The HOA process for mowing unkept lawns and charging the cost back to the offending homeowner is now in place. If you would like to help us (we pay $35./lawn) please email B.Crudden@sbbmanagement.com for details.

Fountain Update #3

The board has heard many concerns over the last several months regarding the inoperable fountains. We’ve received the reserve study and are now able to focus specific resources on capital items. One of our top priorities is to resolve the issue of the fountains and waterfall. The board has done extensive research and has found there are very few companies that do this kind of work. Because of this and in order to be sure the association funds are well spent we are requiring a very high level of detail from the contractor.
