Dallas Morning News Briefings

These are the free newspapers we occasionally get delivered. Here is a website where you can request
delivery to be paused or stopped completely. If you are not going to read the paper, save a tree and keep our neighborhood beautiful.

Brown Spots on Greenbelts

We have had some questions regarding the recent brown spots on the green belts.  Haven Landscaping has applied a weed killer that targets many weeds especially dallis grass and we tend to have a lot of that! This application is a part of the company’s overall annual schedule to keep our neighborhood beautiful.

Welcome Haven Landscaping

Haven Landscaping began work at PCE today and immediately got to work adding color to our entrances. See the newsletter for an article about our new Landscape Company and how/why they were chosen. Be sure to say Hi to Rocky and his crew and enjoy our beautiful surroundings.

Beautification Committee Meeting

May 14, 2008
7:00 pm

Help Wanted

The weeds are starting to grow. Your HOA has a process for mowing unkept lawns and charging the cost back to the offending homeowner. If you would like to help us (we pay $35./lawn) please email B.Crudden@sbbmanagement.com for details. Teenagers (15+) are welcome as long as a parent/adult is willing to oversee.

Whipping Winds

The high winds have been blowing a lot of trash around these past few weeks.  Lets all try carrying a trash bag with us on our walks.  This small effort will help keep PCE clean and pristine in addition to making you feel good and teaching the kids good citizenship.

Holiday Decoration Contest

The Beautification Committee will make the Yard of the Month selection from the best holiday decorated yard for the month of December. The two selected homes will each receive a prize to be awarded at the annual meeting. Join in the fun by decorating your home with the season’s holiday decorations.
Let’s make this a neighborhood affair by helping us pick the winners. Send your nominations to beautification@panthercreekestates.org prior to 12/14/07.

Free Hamlin Grasses

Free Hamlin Grasses at Whitesboro entrance in containers. We are redoing the entrances and these grasses are leftover. Great time of year for planting. Help yourself and enjoy.

October 2007 Yard of the Month Winners

October 2007 YOM Winners

Congratulations!!!

11783 Yoakum Drive (Proud Owners: Phil and Anne-Marie Merkel)

We love our yard for the color in the plantings, and the trees.  My husband Phil will say that he likes the trees best, as he is from a town in Illinois with spectacular old trees (ours have a ways to go, but it’s a start). I love the many colors of the flowers - the more the better!  More >>

11784 Henderson Drive (Ariel A. Ortegon and husband Garth Olivier)
I designed my yard/garden for color.  I have all perennials and ornamental grasses in the beds.  When we moved in we took out all the bushes which the builder had put in ,and planted  Pink Muhley”  ornamental grasses in these spots.  They do not require constant trimming.  More >>

Beautification Committee Update

The Board has approved several recommendations proposed by the Beautification Committee to enhance our green spaces and entrances. Watch the following areas bloom this fall: Hillsboro and Whitesboro entrances; the gas easement; Hillcrest area north of Hillsboro and the green belts. Remember fall is a terrific time to plant trees!
