A Safety Message From The Board
As our neighborhood grows, so do the number of vehicles within it. We’d like to point out a few tips to ensure the neighborhood stays safe for all of our residents.
PARKING ON THE STREET - We realize parking in the front of your home might be a necessity rather than convenience at times. Please keep in mind that emergency vehicles might not be able to quickly navigate through our community if too many residents park in front of their homes. Cars may be towed by the police department if they are deemed to block emergency vehicle access.
Cars parked on the street should remember:
Park 15 feet from a fire hydrant.
Park 20 feet from a crosswalk at an intersection.
Park 30 feet upon approach to any flashing signal (school zone) and STOP SIGNS.
CHILDREN & PARKED CARS - There are many children who walk to and from Sem Elementary during the week. These students and parents cross many streets before they reach the Crossing Guards. Cars parked along these streets could create blind spots that could potentially endanger them. If your home is along the “path” most cars and children travel to and from school, please be mindful of this potential danger in our neighborhood.
Thanks for helping us keep the neighborhood safe!!
